Artist Michael Gutteridge
Biography Michael Gutteridge is an artist who lives and breathes Manchester. Born and discovered in the city, the eclectic urban landscape forms the chief subject of his paintings. Drawing from stimuli such as music and psychology, Gutteridge brings together disparate influences to capture the vibrancy of Manchester. He creates expressionist and surreal depictions of the city’s architecture, as well as conveying social facets of life in Manchester. Michael has exhibited widely across the North West.

Biography Phlegm works with a dip pen, producing very intricate black and white drawings. The majority of his work is collected into his self published comics and zines. His work can also been seen on the streets as large scale spray painted walls and wheat paste posters. As well as screen printing his own comic covers he often produces short runs of hand pulled art prints based on his illustrations and street work.

Artist 7 Styles for 7 Brothers - Current Group Exhibition
Biography Internationally acclaimed artist and illustrator, Kid Acne is bringing a band of brothers to the steel city - unveiling a series of specially designed works to inaugurate new gallery
space in the heart of Sheffield's cultural quarter.

7 Styles for 7 Brothers is the first group show at The Archipelago Works in Sidney Street since the team moved in last year. The exhibition will showcase celebrated graffiti artists, designers and illustrators from Sheffield, London, Bristol, Brighton and Berlin.

Sheffield resident Kid Acne along with his DIY brethren - Cept, Infinite Livez, Pinky, Russell Maurice, Sweet Toof and Dscreet - have designed a collection of exclusive works
alongside a special collaborative fanzine, all of which have been hand screen-printed at The Archipelago Works by in-house printer Josh Bedford.

"We have been working hard over the last year to create a space to both produce and showcase talent. Working on '7 Styles for 7 Brothers' has allowed us to do just that and the pieces involved are very special" says Rupert Wood from The Archipelago Works.

Abhilasha Singh is a self-taught artist who started painting when she was 2 years old.

Biography Agent Provocateur likes cutting holes in pieces of paper with his trusty rusty scalpel, collecting unwanted chunks of wood and card from skips, and canvases from sales... all in the aid of stencil art. Cynical, bored, angry and lazy, AP feels the need to comment on his distorted and irreverent vision of the world, forcing his opinions on an unsuspecting (and invariably uncaring) public.

Biography The Artist Agnese Stabina paints people – the guests that are knocking on our door. The artist asks – why we meet exactly these people in our life? Every person that we meet, teach something to us, but how to understand it, what concrete person, case, relationships are trying to say to us? The Guests or people arise in our life only because they already are in our sense, they are the reflection of our sense.
That’s thy painter represent guests like seeing them through the door’s peep-hole. It is a symbolic representation like trough our mental prism to the world, to the people.
Also roundly and a bit spherical basement of painting has choosed wittingly to strengthen the conception.
Artworks are painted to the roundly, spherical curly base made of glass fibre.
Artist graduated Latvian Art Academy, Painting department, Master degree (2008), she is studied in Southwest Finland Institute for Art and Design ( 2001).
She takes a part in exhibitions and design projects since Year 2000 in Latvia as well as in France, Italy, Germany, Denmark and Belgium.
