An independent professional visual artist David Lucas has collaborated and had partnerships with public and private galleries, regularly representing himself at art fairs and numerous public presentations throughout a twenty three year career. He has received awards including a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant among others in recognition for his accomplishments and high calibre as an established artist. Born in Wakefield in 1965, grew up in the Lake District, he lives and works in Sheffield.

Biography David Lucas has exhibited internationally, taking part in several hundred exhibitions including eighteen solo shows. Lucas's oils on canvas are primarily concerned with depicting evocative images using intense colour, gestural mark making and the painterly abstraction of landscape/seascape.
