Word To Mother is an English artist who creates work that combines many influences into uniquely layered paintings, often atop pieces of salvaged wood and metal.

Incorporating hand drawn personal sentiments, emotions and observations WTM's work often features figures, script typography -inspired from his experience tattooing - and tightly executed sign written lettering, drawn from years of painting graffiti and shop signage.

With an affinity for things that have pre-existed as something else, WTM likes to hand select surfaces and enjoys adding to the life of an already existing object before re-appropriating and appreciating its surface in a fine art context.
